چکیده
Abstract This paper presents a new method to obtain the deformation distribution on main reflector of an antenna only by measuring electric intensity spherical surface with focal point as center sphere, regardless phase. Combining differential geometry theory geometric optics method, this has derived deformation-intensity equation relate near-field directly. Based finite difference (FDM) and Gauss-Seidel iteration, been calculated from simulated geometrical (GO) physical (PO) methods, respectively, relatively small errors, which prove effectiveness proposed in paper. By means it is possible measure scanning single hemispherical whose area about 1/15 aperture. The measurement needs plane wave at any frequency incident wave, that both signals outer space satellite far-field artificial beacon could be used sources. can realized no matter what attitude elevation angle because size hemisphere are changeable.

Cylindrical/Spherical Near-Field Antenna Measurement System
A low-cost, fully operational cylindrical and spherical near-field antenna measurement system designed, built, and programmed by a University of Rhode Island Capstone team is presented. The goal of this project was to modify an existing planar near-field system and apply new processing techniques to extract the far-field patterns of an antenna under test (AUT) of any physical shape. The aim of ...
متن کاملMeasurement of Antenna Performance for Active Array Antennas with Spherical Near-field Scanning
Here we address some of the issues faced by antenna engineers when testing active antennas. We review some features of phased arrays and report on how MI Technologies has dealt with the issue of measuring the effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) and antenna patterns by use of the spherical near-field scanning technique. We take as an example the test methodology of the SAMPSON radar antenna.
متن کاملMeasurement of small antenna reflector losses for radiometer calibration budget
Antenna reflector losses play an important role in the calibration budget for a microwave radiometer. If the losses are small, they are difficult to measure by traditional means. However, they can be assessed directly by radiometric means using the sky brightness temperature as incident radiation. This paper describes how such measurements are carried out as well as a suitable experimental setu...
متن کاملPlanar Near-Field Antenna Measurements Using Nonideal Measurement Locations¤
The standard planar near- eld to far- eld transformation method requires data points on a planerectangular lattice. In this paper we introduce a transformation algorithm in which measurements are neither required to lie on a regular grid nor are strictly con ned to a plane. Computational complexity is O (N logN), where N is number of data points. (Actual calculation times depend on the numeri...

|We introduce a neareld to fareld transformation algorithm that relaxes the usual restriction that data points be located on a plane-rectangular grid. Computational complexity is O (N logN), where N is the number of data points. This algorithm allows e cient processing of neareld data with known probe position errors. Also, the algorithm is applicable to other measurement approaches, such as pl...
